I developed a few years ago an stereo stethoscope - 2 sets of earpieces and 2 sensors. Each person hears their heartbeat and the heartbeat of the other, one in each ear. In a quiet spot with few distractions, and an emotional connection between individuals the heartbeats will synchronize. Stop by the medical supply store, a quick examination will allow you to build your own from 2 stethoscopes. Amplified baby (fetal) monitors work as well. The project was originaly developed as a participatory art project.
