But this's quite one-sided. How about the converse optin?
While it looks for bad news and inflicts some pain based on what it finds, what about the other side? How about something that looks for good news, and gives pleasure somehow?
Of course, while an electric shock is pretty simple for pain, giving pleasure is a bit harder to figure out. Perhaps a slightly warm, massaging sensation?
Beats me. Guess this's an interesting challenge.
