googlefinance.jpga new web service from google, which includes AJAX Flash-driven, dynamic, interactive graphs (in the typical google visual aesthetic) that users can drag & scroll. see also google analytics & & google zeitgeist.

Small nitpick: they're actually Flash-driven, not Ajax.

absolutely right, jeff! they used a different platform, although the functionality is not that different from google maps...

The graphs use Flash but the updating news items based on what period the graph is currently showing are pure AJAX

What I find interesting about this is that this is one of the most prominent examples of large corporation with a website which has massive traffic deciding to adopt Flash technology for Rich Internet Application. Flash used to be the annoying intro in the early days - today it's a professional application on Google...

I want to use google finance charts and i am not allowed to download the Flash adobe or the ActiveX control by the Internet Explorer.
