a sophisticated data visualization method for conveying relationships between any 2 or more sets of objects with a corresponding distance scale, & currently specialized for genome analysis. a large variety of plot & feature parameters are customizable & it can be combined with paired-location, scatter, line, histogram, heat map & cover elements plots. circos is free software, licensed under GPL.
