a set of interactive data visualizations that are based on the real-time usage of the BBC news website. a bar graph visualization shows the top stories for each hour of today (or yesterday), & a color-coded geographical world map shows the amounts of web traffic originating from specific world regions, & what news stories are most popular in those.

Reminds me of Weltatlas (http://atlas.tagesschau.de/), an interactive map displaying locations of the news. In contrast to BBC's this does not show usage but places where events occured.

Make dynamic queries by selecting a continent ("Kontinente") or a country ("Länder") and choose the age of the shown news stories by selecting e.g. "letzte Woche" (last week) in the "Nachrichten" drop down.
