a cool online strategy game that exploits Google's search engine in an original way. the search results are localized using the Netgeo database (www.caida.org) & "captured" on a world map by virtual pins. by choosing well chosen search queries, players can occupy specific places on the world map. the 2nd player (or the computer) then tries to "hit" those exact places, or to explore alternative cities or countries to occupy, until all pins are used.

I wonder if there is category of Web experts who would be able to play this game with a clear advantage over the average player. When I played, I felt like I was entirely unable to predict where my pins would go. It requires an amazing understanding of where Web servers are located. The player is forced to address the question, how does one search with geographic certainty? I would love to see a broadcast of two top players facing off. This is the most elegant game that I have seen that rewards a skill that is entirely unique to the Web.
