2 years infosthetics

this blog is now 2 years old & 865 entries wide. time to thank you, my dear reader, for your continuous loyalty. please keep suggesting intriguing data-driven works!

last year I asked whether there was still enough material to post about. now I wonder what most 'infosthetic' works have in common: is it the attention to superficial decoration, a creative design approach to visualization, the desire to merge beauty & functionality, or a general lack of effective information communication?

Happy birthday!

Congratulations! Keep up the great work!

As for your question: I think it's all of them. The big question is IMHO how to tease apart all the data art, artistic visualization, ambient displays, and more scientific visualizations, to understand how they are different, and to infuse the right kind of aethetics into those visualizations that badly need it.

Congratulations!
Keep it up ad THANX!!

great work.

i think info aesthetics might need an info aesthetic of its own to hierarchize the overwhelming amount of information we have.

this is one language that needs to be developed..and your website helps!

Just throwing in my 2 cents of encouragement - keep it up!

Happy bloggiversary and well done.

Love the website.
Happy birthday!

One of my favourite blogs! presenting information in a form that provides first level analsysis and invites investigation is key, as I comment..

The old maxim “if you can’t measure it then you can’t manage it” is as true today as ever… however increasingly as many people reach information overload one could argue it should read “if you can’t present information you can’t get others to act on it”.

valuable work indeed!

Congratulations! Keep it up.

We all really appreciate your hard work, good taste, and clean style. Thanks and keep it up!

congratulations! a fun and informative visit each time. cheers.

Congratulations Andrew!

Just wanted to praise the excellent work you've done over the past two years with infosthetics, a definite mark in the field of infovis.

Hope we'll have the chance to meet at some point.

There will always be innovation, aesthetics, design and a lot of good taste like yours. So keep the blog rolling !
