(infosthetics @ Ambient Information Systems Workshop) a freely downloadable (in stand-alone or screensaver version) peripheral information awareness tool that allows for a high amount of customization over content sources & its presentation. the goal of The Buzz application is to help users to consolidate information from a wide variety of sources & to present each data source in a fashion appropriate for maintaining overall information awareness. the Buzz runs on a secondary display on the desktop or on a large, public display. each minute or so, it presents a different collage, automatically generated from some particular data source.
