sensor-based affective diary
31 August 2007
an "affective diary" that captures the physical, bodily aspects of experiences & emotions, coined as “affective body memorabilia”. the application assembles sensor data (e.g. movement, skin temperature, galvanic skin response & pulse), captured from the user & uploaded via their mobile phone, to form an ambiguous, abstract colorful body shape.
the bio data is visualized as characters with different body postures & colours, representing movement & arousal. these shapes are specifically designed to invite reflection & to allow the user to piece together their own stories.
