Google proximity between cities

a navigable Earth globe that represents the strength of relations between cities from searches on Google. the concept is based on measuring the "Google proximity": the comparison of number of pages on the Internet where 2 particular cities appear close to each other with the number of pages they appear isolated. therefore, 2 cities can be very close despite they are far apart physically.

I liked this. The math didn't seem very... firm, but the spinning globe amused me like a cat with a ball of string. For a minute or at least.
