If you did not know already, there is current trend of posting YouTube movies that demonstrate the qualities of Microsoft's recently released SongSmith software, by feeding the musiccomposition software the notes or lyrics of well-known songs.

Naturally, it did not take long before Songsmith was exploited for sonification purposes, as it became mashed up with data values, mapped as music notes. Didn't Douglas Adams write about doing something of this sort in "Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency"? I believe there was something about changing financial reports into corporate anthems therein...
