The "Obama Budget Cuts Visualization" is an engaging video podcast that explains the relativity of the recently announced $100 million dollars in budget cuts compared to the US federal budget as a whole. This somewhat improvized video imagines the budget as $100 in pennies to provide the (visual) answer.

Watch the video below.

Reminds me of Visualization of the US Budget with Oreo cookies. Thnkx Andre.

Well done. I think it would have been even more effective if he didn't stack the pennies five high.

But overall a great bit of education. I too get irritated when the politicians talk about small money as though it's remarkable.

A powerful visualization with an enjoyable element of humor added.

OK, I appreciate the visual. But his apartment was so messy (chairs upside down on the table like a bar?) that I kept wondering why he didn't use a backdrop or something less distracting. Despite his friendly upbeat voice and examples, I can't get past the crappy apartment! LOL!!!!

That's funny, Alexis. I didn't even realize that. In fact, I had to go back and watch it again because I didn't remember even seeing the rest of the apartment other than the table. You're right; it's a mess. :)
