The website "The Ideological History of the US Supreme Court" [scotusscores.com] illustrates the relative location of each U.S. Supreme Court justice on an ideological continuum (within the last 70 years). The ideological data points for each Associate Judge and Chief Justice are calculated per year, and based on Martin-Quinn scores, developed by political scientists Andrew Martin (Washington University) and Kevin Quinn (Harvard University) (UPDATE: changed link).
The color coding interpolation ranging from Liberal (blue) or Conservative (red) can be switched between each justice's tenure, within each year, within each seat, or overall.

the link you provide for Kevin Quinn is at least strange ...
"Kevin Quinn (born 1965 in Northampton, England) is a British neo-Nazi and the current leader of the November 9th Society (N9S). He lives in Bedford with his wife and children.
"
WOW. That was a big mistake I made. Thank you for letting me know. Wrong Kevin Quinn indeed!
I wish they would have put a scale on their colorbar because I think it only extends between the most liberal value (-6.46) to the most conservative value (4.83) instead of a balanced scale i.e. -6.46 to 6.46. This skews the perception of the color of the table to look more red.
