A little jealous or not, I want to report on reMap [bestario.org], which displays the multitude of visualization projects featured on visualcomplexity.com. The interactive navigation uses a semantic approach as it depicts meaningful relations among the individual projects by common tags.
As the avid infosthetics.com reader should already know, Visual Complexity is a well-organized collection of aesthetic data visualization projects which are related to complex, relational systems. VC is not only a large compilation: each project is displayed with rich contextual information, including text and visitor comments, and the whole project is enriched with stats, a book selection, external links, trend analysis on contents and depiction techniques, and a blog.
VC is so impressive, that its author, Manuel Lima, is nominated by Creativity magazine as "one of the 50 most creative and influential minds of 2009", while he also was chosen as a speaker at TEDGlobal2009.
