Built by a team of researchers and engineers, the Diseasome [] project uses the Human Disease Network dataset to illustrate the relationships between disease genes and human disorders, indicating the common genetic origin of many diseases. Genes associated with similar disorders show both higher likelihood of physical interactions between their products and higher expression profiling similarity for their transcripts, supporting the existence of distinct disease-specific functional modules.

The website consists of an interactive map, a poster and a summary of the accompanying (French) book.
