"Visualising Transport Data for" [] by ITO! is the result of about one and a half days developing new visualizations and maps based on the recently released traffic count data for Developer Camp, which itself is described in more detail here. With over 1,000 existing data sets from 7 departments and community resources, brought together in re-useable form in the UK for the first time, the main goal of the Camp was to have developers create the very first useful applications based on the concept of government-held public data data.

If only Australia or New South Wales RTA would make such recent or real-time data (and not just old data) freely available.
