The Submarine Cable Map [submarinecablemap.com] depicts about 188 active and planned submarine cable systems and their landing stations with a maximum upgradeable capacity of at least 5 Gbps.
The map allows selection of an individual cable route, which reveals specific information about the cable, including the cable's name, ready-for-service (RFS) date, length, owners, website, and landing points. Selecting a landing point provides a list of all submarine cables landing at that station.
Interestingly, the cable routes and the landing points were originally generated using Adobe Illustrator, which was then exported as a set of KML files using Avenza MAPublisher. These files were parsed through Google Maps and Google Fusion to create the visual map, to which interactive features were added. All content and software behind the map is open-source, and available here.
