Close Votes [tulpinteractive.com], developed by data visualization designer Jan-Willem Tulp, reveals the similarities of voting patterns between different cities in The Netherlands.

Based on the results of the recent national elections, the size of each city bubble can be configured to correspond to its population size or voting similarity, while its location on the map can be determined by either its geographical location or by relative distance in terms of similarity.

The most interesting feature might well be how a selected city moves to the center of the radial view, so that one-to-many comparisons can be easily made. The long list on the top left consists of the actual political parties currently present in the Netherlands (and yes, there are quite some more than in the US)
