4d interactive globe
4 July 2006

a 4D direct manipulation device for interactive globe viewing. 3D dynamic images are projected on a physical sphere, which can be viewed from all angles. the user can interact with the globe by rotating the sphere itself, or by turning a ring around the sphere. turning the ring controls time as the "4th dimension" of the globe, enabling users to visually simulate a time-shift of more than 750.000.000 years.
