A strange man uses a set of sophisticated holographic tools to build a world for the woman he loves, like SketchUp on steroids. This award winning short was created by filmmaker Bruce Branit, widely known as the co-creator of '405'. World Builder was shot in a single day followed by about 2 years of post production.

Oh man, I feel so cool now. I saw this video about a month ago on Vimeo. And now it's posted here!

Cool. It would be a "grossly negligent conduct" not to post here!!! ;-)

The "I saw this x months ago" is a fun Internet pass-time, ignore it! And what's ironic, is the video was apparently posted TWO months ago, so Evan was STILL a month behind.

Thanks for posting the video, yet another interesting post on Infosthetics.

That's interesting. I'm glad others are thinking along these lines. I've had the idea of holographic input devices and displays for (much more mundane things) things like parking meters, building call boxes, etc. Things that would declutter our visible world by only having the displays and interfaces be present when needed.
