Upon examining the link ( http://www.royalsapien.com/pop1/ ), I noticed that as one scrolls to the right, the graphic seems divided into two sections, with the lower half as a gradient of colour, ranging from an almost rust red to blue.

I wonder: does this represent something in the graphic, or is does it merely have aesthetic value?
