Centograph is a physical representation of information, in the form of a set of dynamically (and fastly!) moving bar graphs.
Users can search for specific keywords. The system then looks up the frequency of keywords on Google News Archives for related news articles over the past 100 years, and displays them by moving the physical bars up and down. Each bar thus represents a decade from 1909 to 2009. Centograph allows one to view the 'shape' of the past century in relation to different news topics: from the progression in computing technology, to times of war and peace, to changing sources of energy.
Strongly reminded me of Wable: Physical Bar Graph Table.
