
In the line of one of Google's proposals, this design concept might actually become feasible. "" maps the course of snail mail on the envelop itself. The project further proposes people would be able to send these envelopes through the GMail interface.

Great idea as long as what you ship is to the east of your current location!
You could just change the orientation of the map, make it South-North rather than North-South (or whatever orientation works best). Remember, North doesn't equal 'up'.
